Osh, Charlie and Ashley feel that business should be a force for good.

Look after guests, look after our team and then also
do our bit for the wider world.

How it works:

Every year, The Devonshire will give a portion of profits to charity and to support ideas and projects we are excited about.

EverYONE WHO WORKS AT THE DEVONSHIRE is very welcome to give suggestions.

The Devonshire will ALSO Try TO support any team member raising money themselves (doing a sponsored event eTC).

LONDON MARATHON APRIL 2026

Sasha is training to run the London Marathon in 2026. He is part of a team running for Children with Cancer, in memory of Sammy Jo Brandon.

It all started with a joke and a few raised eyebrows. When Sacha casually announced he was going to run the London Marathon, a few people laughed and doubted he’d actually go through with it. Instead of backing down, Sacha is embracing the challenge by taking on one of the world’s most iconic races, not just to prove a point, but to raise money and make a significant difference to the charity.

The Just Giving sponsorship link is below and The Devonshire will also match the final amount he raises.

MAKING THINGS HAPPEN

Devonshire Giving hopes to help people involved with the Devonshire make exciting and meaningful things happen. We support things we care about and, although many of our donations will go to charities, we are not a registered charity ourselves. This is important as it gives us the freedom do things our own way. It’s still early days, so both this website and the way we operate will evolve over time. This is a starting point as we work things out.

There is never any expectation to get involved. However, if you have a suggestion about something you would like to support, please feel free to speak to Sophie, Chrissy, Gemma, Sujan, or any of the founders at any time.

This website is intended for internal use at the Devonshire, and we generally won’t be making a lot of noise about the things we support. This does not mean we are not very excited about what we are doing. Quite the opposite - but the motivation is simply to get stuff done, not to try and impress by shouting about it.

HOW THINGS WILL WORK

Donations and events will happen throughout the year, and there will be one main donations week annually. Suggestions can be made at any time and will be noted.

All donations will be made as one-off contributions. At the moment, we do not plan to set up ongoing partnerships with charities.

Everyone who works at the Devonshire - front and back of house - is very welcome to share their ideas. The process is deliberately informal, and the easiest way to put a suggestion forward is to have a chat with Sophie, Sujan, Lara or Chrissy, or use the contact form on this website.
